• It is safe to plug it into another surge protector. It may be increased protection, but I've never had a surge like that to demonstrate whether it would be increased protection. I believe it would be one more position away from the surge (double protected) so in theory it would be increased protection. This product also provides battery backup in a power outage. If you are just looking for surge protection, you should just be looking at a power strip.
