I bought the larger unit for my data room and use these at each TV/cable box. Just need them to last until my generator kicks on.

Half of the UPS's outlets are just surge protected, the other half are also backed up with the battery. As for how long it lasts, it depends on how much the router pulls. The UPS comes with a usage chart that shows approximate battery discharge times depending on device pull.

If you know how much wattage the equipment uses, you can compare it to the run time chart available on the CyberPower Systems website.
