I called Slumberland, about my power chair and about getting one of these UPS Power System. He said. my chair comes with a "power back-up" That I just have to follow the cord from the transformer box (under the chair) and you will see where to install TWO 9-volt batteries.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No; you would need a much larger unit, as a power recliner would have st least one motor. This unit is good for less than 6amps. I recommend you check the nameplate on your recliner to see what the power draw is, and get an appropriate size unit. The sales force at the store can help you with the selection once you know your chair’s power draw.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on the power pulled by the recliner. I would imagine so but the instructions specify high pull devices like microwaved and laser printers should not be plugged into the battery backed up outlets. I suspect the battery would last long enough to get the recliner closed if it is a high pull device but I would check with the manufacturer
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Is there a need to power the recliner in the event of a power outage? If so, you'd need to check the current rating of the motors in the recliner to make sure that it does pull more current than the UPS can provide.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.UPSs should never be used in devices that have motors or large capacitors that draw power. That recliner shouldn’t use a UPS, your refrigerator would similarly destroy a UPS. Laser printer? Right out. The DC controllers within the laser printer will decimate the UPS, draining the battery nearly instantly. Also leave that space heater on its own connection as well. At least as long as you don’t want to make a habit out of destroying UPS batteries.
