Did not notice or hear low tone noise after plugging in unit.

I was advised that the transformer makes a sound, but should not be as loud as I was explaining. I took it back to Best Buy to exchange it with another one. I requested that it be plugged in before I left the store. I heard no sound coming from the replacement. All is working fine now. :-)
