“I bought 2 of these back ups but looks like it does not work. I plugged to the side that has arrow showing battery and surge. I got power outage recently and the battery does not beep nor provide power. Did I miss anything?”

Make sure you opened the battery compartment and connected the battery. These ship with the battery disconnected for safety. Often this is only one line in the operating manual so is easy to miss.
