I notice that after turning on the unit, the display lights then “go to sleep” automatically after just a minute or two and stay asleep unless you push the front button lightly to reactivate them. There shouldn’t be an ongoing problem then with the display lights while working with the computer. You could block out the lights by covering the display window because you can find the same information they display on the accompanying downloaded CyberPower Personal Power Panel software.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The display turns off after an interval (don't remember the actual length) But the power button remains lit. I'm not sure whether that can be completely switched off though. Hope this helps.
