• Brian...this is a follow-up to the comment you posted under my review of this system. Cheers. The SSD installed in my PC is a 500 GB Western Digital Brand, Model Number WDS500G2B0C-00PXH00. It is clearly NVMe M.2 but I can not say with certainty that it is Gen 4.0. I actually believe it is a Gen 3.0 X 4. The motherboard is an X570 Phantom Gaming 4S from AS Rock. It is the Matisse variant, which is a later version than either the Picasso or the Pinnacle Ridge. Sorry I can not categorically answer your precise question on 4.0 versus 3.0.
