I only use my rig for gaming purposes on a 2k monitor, so maybe this isn't the best answer. So far the hottest my CPU has got is 59 degrees C. That is gaming at max settings at 1440p 2k. I haven't tested some of the top of the line brand new games yet. So far though for gaming only it seems more than sufficient to keep the temp on the cpu down. Maybe the graphics card is more than sufficient to help with this build.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have never heard of a prebuilt gaming pc company that voids your warranty because you upgraded a part of it. You can replace any part with a part you like and not void the warranty on the whole system since the warranty is almost always on the individual parts. If you messed up in replacing your cooler and fried your CPU they wouldn't cover that since it was "due to the part you added" but otherwise all the parts should have an individual 1 year warranty with them and probably even longer through the manufacturer. So you should feel 100% free to replace the CPU cooler, just make sure that you do it properly. Also if you think you might want to return the whole thing I recommend holding onto the old cooler just in case.
