os is on the SSD. i got a msi z690a pro with 3 gen 4 m2 slots and 1 gen 3 m2 slot. i added a 980 pro to one of the open gen 4 slots and then used macrium reflect to copy the drive and then set it in bios to be the boot drive, then wiped the original western digital nvme that it came with

The components included with this system are upgradeable, however, it is always recommended that you check for compatibility before making your purchase on new hardware. For this system, it only has one M.2 slot available which is already being used by the SSD.
