“I purchased this for my son for his birthday, when we got it out of the box and plugged it in there was no signal coming from GPU, so after troubleshooting, took it back got a replacement, after we got new one home, same thing! please help me understand”

Please ensure you are connecting the monitor directly to the video card. You will see to sets of ports, one set will be disabled and this is the one located on the motherboard. The set that will provide display is located further down the rear of the case.
