• Hi, Thank you for your questions. Please do not plug your unit into extension cords or into the same wall outlet with another unit. Do not splice the power cord. Do not cut or remove the third grounding prong from the power cord under any circumstances. Do not use ungrounded (two-prong) extension cords or adapters. WARNING - Improper use of the grounding plug may result in a risk of electric shock. Thanks, Earl

• This unit does not draw very much current, so I would think an extension cord should be fine. Personally, I would use a heavy-duty appliance cord, but that is probably not required.
