“Would you recommend these speakers for vinyl records?i have one of the Marantz turntables they sell at best buy; wanting to upgrade speakers from a older surround sound I have been using and wondering if these 1.7k speakers are worth it for mostly records”

Depending on your equipment, these speakers will reveal every click, pop, scratch, wow and flutter, and even a misaligned phone cartridge. They are that good. I was actually disappointed in my album media after listening on these. I'm using a high end Marantz integrated amp and a Sony linear tracking turntable. The only albums I enjoyed were the ones I had originally treated with the Last record preservative process. The better your media, the more these speakers shine. When I listen to them with a high end dedicated Marantz CD player and remastered CDs, the sound is incredible. Music played on a high end sound card on your computer is also good, which also reveals inadequacies in your computer sound board. Low bit rate MP3's sound deplorable. Hope this helps.
