Which is better a chrome book or laptop ? null

For my needs an actual laptop with CD dvd drive better for me. I have homework DVD assignments sometimes. But for Chromebook I can purchase a drive for $49.99 from Best Buy. My iTune won’t work on my Chromebook for to save photos and apps off of my phone it is app that will save my music and videos. That was a disappointment
