A:Answeryes the software allows you to set the country/region you will be using it in as part of the setup. not sure if it will recognize and autoplay if the disc is formatted for a different region though
A:AnswerYes, I just bought the Dell316 external drive and it DOES work on my Mac. To be honest though I have only used so far to import my music CDs into iTunes and it works great, incredibly fast actually. I have not used it for playing DVDs or Burning discs yet but I am guessing it should be fine since I am not having issues with playing or downloading files from CDs so far. It was easy Plug & Play, Unit didn't ask to download any special software to work.
A:AnswerThe 8x on CD players doesn't really refer to memory, like hard drives. It refers to how many kilobytes per second at which it can burn a disc. Original CD players could do this at about 1000 - 1500 KB/sec. This one can do the same thing at 8 times that speed (8x).
A:AnswerYes ! It should work with your computer.
As long as it has a USB 2.0 Port to use, it is good to go .
Just plug it in and then turn on your computer.
If you at all do not like it or if it just does not work , you can always return it.
