“Now I'm confused. No microphone built in but an answered question re speakers says attached at bottom. I have a desktop now and use speakers, that's fine, but if speakers attached at bottom, isn't that considered a microphone?”

The system includes stereo speakers. These speakers act as audio output devices and do not include a microphone funcrionality.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later."Speakers" are not "microphones." You listen to speakers but you speak through a microphone. Oddly, this system does not have a microphone to accompany its webcam. That is a strange omission.
