This machine I have not personally used for gaming. That said, I have not had one crash nor any application hang since I bought it. It has been great and I think perfect for a 12 year old. For gaming I would recommend an external keyboard and gaming mouse.

I would recommend something else for gaming this computer does not have a very big hard drive. Those games would require more power this is more of an office computer
