j recently bought one and the hard drive is 256 gig. Your best option is to buy a back up hard drive, ex Wd My Book. They come in various amounts of terrabybes. Then move your photos to the back up drive. The advantage of this is you can easily move the back up drive to other computers. If your computer crashes your pictures are saved.

I currently am using an HP desktop, in addition to the 250 Gig main harddrive I have two 1 terabyte, a 500 Gig, a 40 gig drives connected to it ... I'm currently shopping for a new PC (I still use WinXP ... LOL!) I've been a dedicated HP user but now looking pretty hard at the Dell line...
