A:Answer Your smart TV should have a HDMI input labeled ARC or eARC. ARC means audio return channel.
If you plug the HDMI out from the receiver into this input, the receiver will play audio from the TV, using the TV audio setting.
If your smart TV supports eARC, it’s even easier, as the receiver will automatically change the audio input based on what you are watching on the TV.
In addition, when you turn off the TV, the receiver will turn off as well.
