“I have a smart LG TV. How do I stream and listen with my surround sound speakers? I understand I can listen thru speakers when going thru cable box, but streaming Netflix and Amazon doesn't go thru my cable box.How do I connect for this streaming to work?”

Your smart TV should have a HDMI input labeled ARC or eARC. ARC means audio return channel. If you plug the HDMI out from the receiver into this input, the receiver will play audio from the TV, using the TV audio setting. If your smart TV supports eARC, it’s even easier, as the receiver will automatically change the audio input based on what you are watching on the TV. In addition, when you turn off the TV, the receiver will turn off as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Connect the receiver HDMI out to the HDMI-ARC port on your TV. As long as your TV has HDMI-ARC and CEC, the TV will control receiver power + volume and TV audio will play through the receiver.
