70 Volt speakers are typically used in public address systems, rarely are of a quality related to high fidelity and are not compatible with this receiver. Connection to a PA system that uses the 70 volt distribution line could also potentially cause damage to the receiver that may not be covered by the warranty. High fidelity speakers that have nominal impedances of 8 ohms are recommended with 6 and 4 ohm speakers also compatible.
