  You will not need to purchase any external device. Bluetooth is built into the units.

• Yes you absolutely can. Just got to the bluetooth setting. There is a button on the remote, or you can switch to it using the receiver itself. Just select the unit on your phones bluetooth settings and boom your connected to play media from your phone. No extra purchase necessary.
