No. Zone 2 is an audio out feature. The two HDMI outputs will display the same output to 2 separate monitors or TVs or as I use it into 2 separate HDMI inputs on the same TV. I use it this way because my TV has one HDMI 2.1 HDMI port and a separate 2.0 port for ARC. Why it was configured this way is beyond me but this allows me to get HDMI 2.1 input to my TV (read XBOX Series X) and ARC audio back to the receiver (good for streaming as well).

There's a feature called All Zone Stereo (OPTION button on remote) that allows for this, but it just mimics the Main Zone HDMI source for Zone 2. You don't get true independence for HDMI sources to Zone 2 until you get to our X3700H model. That model allows for 2 independent HDMI based sources for the Main Zone and Zone 2. The TV Audio source (ARC) can be used when in All Zone Stereo mode or when the Zone Select feature is activated.
