Yes, the cable box/DVR, Blu-Ray player and Apple TV will all use HDMI. The Dot connects over WiFi. The cassette player, turntable and laser disc player will all connect analog. The VCR will also connect analog, but you will need a 2nd connection from the AVR's Video Monitor Out to the TV (composite - yellow) as this AVR does not support Video Conversion. (This feature takes the composite video input and converts it to HDMI level for the output) That feature starts in our X4700H.
