If you fly recreationally (for no other purpose than flying for recreation) you need to take the TRUST test and get a certificate. If you fly for any other reason you need to go through FAS Part 107 testing and certification. There is no radio licensing involved.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A "RADIO" license is not required. You will want to look into the FAA 107 program, if you are in the US to expand your usage of this unit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You do not "NEED" a license to fly the drone, but you do need to register. If you are planning on making any money at all from flying, you need a license for any drone.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You DO need to register with the FAA if ANY aircraft is over 250g, recreationally. Part 107 is a whole different beast. .

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need a 107 commercial drone license if you want to do anything other than fly just for fun. Note, this is as defined by the FAA and they have steep fines. For instance, if you fly your drone for fun, but then decide to use it to check your gutters to see if they need cleaned you would then need a 107 license. It is tricky, so I would recommend looking into your 107 licence to avoid any complications or the potential of a 100k plus fine. Hope this helps!
