QuestionDo you have to register this drone? If so, how do you add the remote ID?

- Answer FAA registration is required, but when it asks about remote ID, your response should be not remote ID enabled. This is because that system is not in operation. I called FAA about this

- Answer True, if you look at the returnable date under your purchases, you will see that it is one year out. I just traded in my Air 2 for the 2S.

- Answer If you fly recreationally (for no other purpose than flying for recreation) you need to take the TRUST test and get a certificate. If you fly for any other reason you need to go through FAS Part 107 testing and certification. There is no radio licensing involved.

QuestionI am thinking about either a DJI air 2s or the FPV. My concern with the Air 2s is whether the display on my iPhone is bright enough to be seen in bright sunlight. Can anybody advise me on that aspect? Thanks.

- Answer I have both. Honestly they are two diff drones, meaning I would not use the FPV to try and capture cinematic shots. As for the display , it seems bright enough to see clearly on sunny days. If I had to choose between the two, it would depend on the use. But would lean to the Air2s hands down. Especially If I want to get good cinematic shots and such. If I want that exciting FPV experience, then ofcourse the FPV. Hope this helps. Good luck.

- Answer If you are asking about the FAA registration, when it asks about remote ID, your response should be that your drone doesn't have remote ID. This is the answer that I got from an FAA representative. The remote ID system is not in operation

QuestionI discovered after I bought this product that the handbook says, "FocusTrack is disabled when recording at a high resolution such as 2.7K 48/50/60 fps, 1080p 48/50/60/120 fps, 4K 48/50/60 fps, and 5.4K 24/25/30 fps. Why have these features at all?

- Answer The issue is more of the resolution to frame rate rate ratio. 24 and 30 frames per second are typical frame rates that would work great for shooting video with active track (unless you want to active track and shoot slow motion... but that is a very specific use) The only resolution that can't use FocusTrack features at all is 5.4k (which is a ridiculously high resolution, and its understandable that software would struggle to do both this and track a subject at the same time) All you really lose in 4k and lower is active track at higher frame rates. Give it a go at 24 frames per second and you will find its an incredibly useful function.

- Answer Best buy is a authorized reseller so you can purchase the extended warranty through DJI. But I personally go through Allstate. For only $60 a year they will cut you a check for repairs or replacement if damaged or lost or stolen which is better and cheaper than DJI plus with them you have to have a drone to turn in for replacement so if it crashes and you can't find it or it gets stolen you are out of luck.

- Answer Yes, But there is a new version of the app that will enable the new drone to operate. If you are using an Android phone, that version is available to download from DJI because the Fly app is not on the Playstore now! If you use IOS/Apple it should have the current version on that store.

- Answer No. At this point, the Goggles (DJI) are not compatible with the Air 2S. There are people who have YouTube channels about drones, etc. that I follow and most of them say that they expect DJI to update the firmware to allow the DJI goggles to work. I have seen some "Hacks" to get non DJI goggles to work with the Mini2, but I would wait for official support. If you lose or crash the drone, DJI may not honor the care program they have for lost or crashed drones. ---Tom---

- Answer You'll use your phone as your video monitor when flying your Air 2S. On the right side of the screen, there's a section for photo/video options. Choose if you want to shoot photos or videos. Then just touch the white (photos) or red (video) dot on the right side of the screen to get your photos or videos.

- Answer The live 1080p transmission from the drone to your phone is recorded in the app so you have the footage available for review right away. This is highly-compressed video and any transmission glitches or dropouts will be recorded in the file. To work with the full-quality version of the video, you can either remove the media card from the drone and transfer it to your computer manually or use the app to transfer the media from the powered drone to your phone.

- Answer Yes, the drone will work with the iPhone 11. I use an iPhone 10R and have had no problems. As long as your phone can run the DJI Fly app, you'll be fine.
