SKYROVER - X1 Fly More Combo 8K Drone with Remote Controller - Gray

I’ve used other drones before, and I have to say this one feels a lot better than the ones I’ve had in the past. It was a really nice surprise. Right out of the box, it felt more polished and easier to use, but what really stood out was how many useful features it has packed into such a small drone. The 4K/60fps HDR video looks sharp and smooth, the 48MP photos have great detail, and the true vertical shooting is something I immediately appreciated since it makes it much easier to shoot for TikTok or Reels without cropping later. I was also impressed by how confident it feels in the air. The 360° obstacle avoidance makes a big difference compared with some drones I’ve used before, especially when flying near trees or buildings. It just feels less stressful to use. I tried the auto tracking too, and it worked really nicely for getting moving shots without needing constant manual control. Features like smart return-to-home also give extra peace of mind. Another thing I like is that it feels very creator-friendly. The AI Night Mode is a nice bonus for lower-light scenes, and the different smart shooting modes like QuickShots, Spotlight, and POI make it easier to get interesting footage without doing too much work yourself. It’s also foldable and compact, so it’s easy to carry around, which makes it much more likely that I’ll actually bring it with me. Overall, after using other drones before, this one honestly feels like a real upgrade. It combines better image quality, smarter flight features, and a more user-friendly experience than I expected, and so far I’m very happy with it.

This is my third drone. But my first SKYROVER!! I absolutely love this drone. I sold my Neo 2. I still have my DJI mini 4K. But this is my every day drone. As my dad used to say it’s my daily driver. I love the smooth controls, the hovering that is steady even in the wind. The flight time on the batteries has definitely been as advertised although with this drone as with other drones, the faster you fly the wind other conditions do take that into consideration that you will lose a few minutes of time on each battery. I have taken this on hikes with me, I love the quick shots the tracking. The photo quality is phenomenal. The nighttime photo and videos are spectacular. I take this drone with me everywhere I have portable battery chargers that I use in the bag to charge my lights for morning and nighttime flights. The one thing that I wish would be different is that when I purchase this, I was not aware nor told that the new video screen remote control was coming out in mid June. I would have waited to make that purchase so that I can have the standalone remote and not utilize my phone as the screen I looked to Best Buy to possibly this drone and purchased the one with the remote, but I was already passed the return date. I still haven’t seen or heard anything from SKYROVER about the possibilities of purchasing a standalone remote. Hands-down, I love it. It’s fantastic. I hope in the future that they can follow DJI with some of their editing post production, but I’m not a professional so I don’t do all of the fancy changes and things. All the photos and videos that I’ve taken have been fantastic my family, and friends coworkers who I share them with are all dumbfounded and amazed that it’s coming from a drone and I haven’t adjusted or used filter filters to change how it looks.

The drone itself is great, and the video is great. Screenshots from the video are crisp and clear. However, the battery life in MUCH shorter than advertised. When flying and shooting video, I get about 10min of flight time for each battery before receiving a low battery alert and the drone returning to home. The same behavior across all three batteries. For example, for a 5k race when the initial finishers came across the line in just over 16 minutes, the battery life was insufficient. Received a low battery warning and the drone returned to home, and I was able to quickly able to change the battery and capture the finish of the race. But, imagine if the drone would have been 10 minutes out over something such as a canyon or a body of water. It would have been goodby drone as it could have never returned home. I purchased the "SKYROVER - X1 Fly More Combo 8K Drone with Remote Controller - Gray" from BestBuy on June 13, 2026, for $619.00, with taxes and fees it came to $668.52. Now, a month later, they are selling the drone for $499, and listing a comparable price as $799. That is deceptive. The list price increased $180 in a month, yet is being sold for $120 less? Yeah, I go ripped off yet again by BestBuy. Worse yet, by inflating the comparable value, they claim an unsuspecting buyer is saving $300. Deceptive at best, perhaps even a scam.

Photos in 8K are sharp, vibrant, and impressively clean, while 4K/60fps HDR video has a cinematic feel. Even in low light, Super Night Mode captures clear, detailed shots that really stand out. Weighing under 249g, it’s incredibly travel-friendly—no FAA registration or Remote ID required in the U.S.—and it comes with a 12-month warranty backed by a local service team for added reassurance. For safety and confidence, the 360° obstacle sensing is a game-changer, especially for newer pilots or flights in tighter spaces. The transmission range is remarkable, reaching up to 50,000ft (15KM) with a smooth 1080p/60fps live feed even in signal-busy areas. Creative features like Smart Spotlight and Dual Tracking lock smoothly onto moving subjects, and vertical shooting mode makes social media uploads effortless—no cropping needed. I highly recommend the Fly More Combo. With three batteries offering up to 96 minutes of total flight time, you can enjoy extended sessions without frequent recharging. Setup is straightforward: ensure your phone’s WiFi and Bluetooth are on, short-press then long-press the power button on the remote. For best results, fly in winds under level 5 to maintain optimal stability. A quick word of advice—don’t compromise with cheaper models. This drone is worth the investment. Go for the Combo package to get the extra batteries, charger, and case. I also suggest picking up a landing pad and a high-end microSD card suited for 4K/8K recording. Here’s what I use and recommend: In short, the SKYROVER X1 feels premium in every way—stellar image quality, intelligent safety systems, generous flight time, and pro-level filming tools all in one sleek package. An easy 10/10 and one of the best drones I’ve ever flown.

I was able to use this drone for about few weeks and I honestly love it. I was able to get it for a crazy deal at retail for $599 and for what this drone is capable it’s honestly a steal of a drone. This is a direct competitor with the DJI and it’s nice to see another drone company enter the space with a portable drone that won’t run you north of 1k. As far as features go it is right up there with the DJI mini 3 pro, 4 and 5. You have all the same active tracking modes, return to home features and even cool little animated flight patterns for social media related shots. Another plus is the 4k @ 60Hz recording capabilities, I really do think the camera is the best feature. When you are flying you don’t get a real good sense as to how good the camera quality is until you rewatch what you recorded (not to say the quality is bad when you are flying). The image is extremely crisp and sharp, colors are very vibrant and overall camera quality is amazing. And one note with the camera is you can capture video in landscape and horizontal shots. Transmission and signal integrity is really good as long as you are in an open space with minimal obstructions. For me this drone is a 100% go. If you can snag it for $599 I would say don’t think twice about it and full send it is worth every single penny especially if you just want to explore and fly drones without spending $1k on the drone. Oh and yes it does have good lowlight performance as well as battery on a single charge is (depending on flight mode) is about 20-25 minutes.
