I have both. Honestly they are two diff drones, meaning I would not use the FPV to try and capture cinematic shots. As for the display , it seems bright enough to see clearly on sunny days. If I had to choose between the two, it would depend on the use. But would lean to the Air2s hands down. Especially If I want to get good cinematic shots and such. If I want that exciting FPV experience, then ofcourse the FPV. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you will not be able to see the display on your iPhone very well at all in bright sunlight. That bothered me enough to convince me to buy the RC Pro controller, which has a great display and adds a lot of features, although it is quite expensive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dear customer, Thank you for your inquiry. If it is in a strong sun light, it is recommended to use a screen hood for your phone or avoid direct sunlight. Besides, you may consider a DJI Smart Controller or DJI RC Pro, which has a high-bright display for you to have a better flight experience even under sunlight. Hope this is informative for you. Best Regards, DJI Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First off when buying a drone is it for recreational use or work. FAA got rules when it comes to these drone. I just bought the air 2s and love it takes great pic and video. With extra. And if u buy the fly more bundle like i did its even better. I like it so much i took the recreational license part. I suggest you start like that and get a feel flying an fpv drone is not easy and u most always have some next to you watching the drone. If not u could be find hudreds or thousands of dollars. Just for flying for fun.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is bright enough, however they do sell a sun shade to help. Also, a cheap tablet can be used which offers a bigger and potentially brighter display. The air 2s is my choice if you want to do pictures and video. If you just want to zoom around and have fun, the fpv is your drone. Have fun!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Id recommend to use it with a iPad because i phones usually go dim when the power is being consumed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same dilemma. But then I thought about it. They are 2 totally different drones. You have to decide what kind of drone you want. I wanted a camera drone that could take HD video and hi-res pictures. Obviously, the Air 2s was what I wanted. If you want to put goggles on your eyes and do high speed acrobatics in the First Person View, then you want the FPV. If you want a camera drone (Cinema drone), then the Air 2s. I was worried about not being able to see my phone screen. I bought an adapter from Amazon and now I use an 11 inch Samsung Galaxy Tablet. I love it!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I actually use a 3D-printed arm to be able to use my iPad. But I still need to find a darker place to see the screen. If you are dead set on using your iPhone I would suggest buying the hood for the controller.
