As long as you're talking about Sony controllers, yes. They're identical, save for the color of the plastic. If you are comparing various off-brand controllers, then no, they are not identical, and tend to be cheaply made, weighted wrong, and easily breakable. They are more affordable, yes, but if you are able to spend the extra money for Sony, you should.

Yes...I bought the candy pink for ps3 and it was 5 dollars more. Your always going to pay more for anything that's not black on any of the PlayStation's . Unless you find a used one and then your only saving that extra 5.
