Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.lori, Try another cord to charge the battery (see if the red light turns on). I believe it is a common USB to microUSB cable. If that works, then you have a bad cable. If not, I guess your 'throw it away' is one solution. You might go back to Best Buy and see if a nice sales associate will swap a good one for your bad one. It may still be under warranty, receipt or not. Good Luck!
