“Am I missing something? The parts that mount to the back of the tv seem to be two different parts. Only one fits on the mount securely, the other seems to be about a half inch to big. By to big, I means the space between the “hooks” is too big.”

Normally both TV brackets should be the same dimension. If you feel different, you can tighten the safe bolts based on the step 6 of the user manual. David M. - Dynex Support
