That means the outlet it is plugged into has a ground fault. Try plugging it into another outlet.

Even though the three pronged plugs plug into an outlet with 3 holes to receive the plug, the wall outlet may not be grounded internally, either because the electrician or other person installing the plug never wired it to be grounded, or there was no place to attach a ground wire to.
