“The specs say the width is 27.5". I have studs spaced 23" apart (2" wood stud on the left...then 23" of space...then 2" of wood stud on the right). Will I be able to screw this into the studs as they are?”

IT IS SET UP TO HIT STUCS EVERY 3 TO 4 INCHES FROM 15 TO 27. SO YOU SHOULD HIT YOUR STUDS WITH NO PROBLEM
