If you put the extensions on the bottom of the TV mount and remove them from the top of the TV mount where you'd mount them on the TV, it could possibly work. Also, the mount would have to be installed sideways in order to mount it to a ceiling joist.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Construct and hang a mounting panel to the ceiling joists, and mount the TV bracket to the panel. It could be as simple as hanging 2 studs to the joist. Some experience in structural construction would be helpful. OR try mounting the bracket to the block wall w/ Tapcon screws or another applicable masonry fastener.
