There is no battery, it is powered by the USB. It has malfunctioned. This particular mouse does that

The battery is a AAA, you can probably find it on the bottom of the mouse
and most likely that is why, but I have never heard of it happening, my old mouse when it died the mouse arrow just stopped moving
this may be an issue with the mouse in general
