Probably you will not be able to use the product in China due to the different voltage requirements of the country if you buy the product within the U.S.A. Based on what I posted below, (looked for the exact numbers), you will not be able to use it there. Especially, Dyson products' voltages are country-specific. You can not use the product in the USA if you buy it from Europe or China and vice versa. Their products are very strict to the country they are selling in. Converter options are there but what I heard is that the converter is so enormous, it will not be convenient to use with it. https://www.dyson.com.au/supporthome.aspx/Hair-Care/Dyson-Airwrap-Styler/Dyson-Airwrap-Styler/310729-01/using-your-dyson-machine/how-to-use-your-appliance-abroad "Basically there are two main standards for voltage and frequency in the world. One is the standard of 110-120 volts at a frequency of 60 Hz (mostly used in USA), and the other is the standard of 220–240 volts at 50 Hz (mostly used in Europe). China uses generally 220V, 50HZ, AC (Hong Kong is 200V; Taiwan is 110V). I hope, this helps. This is based on my experience and if you reach out to Dyson's superior customer service, they will be able to clarify for you within minutes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Scott, this is Kelly with Dyson. Dyson products are designed specifically for the countries in which they are made for and sold in, and machines manufactured for the United States are designed solely for 110-120v electricity. It is because of this fact that we are unable to have the machine converted to meet the specific country electrical code and laws. In order to use the machine in a different country a power converter would be needed. However, we do not recommend using a converter, as the unit will not perform at the normal expected life of a Dyson product. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
