I think since it blows air out, it is made for using it on damp hair--not really wet hair. But, I think if your hair was already dry, you could get a spray bottle of water, spray your hair down and then try it out!

For the best results with the Airwrap styler, you can start with wet hair, and use the pre-styling dryer attachment to make the hair damp and ready to style.
