I can't remember how much it weighs. It does say in the description I think. It has an automatic rotating brush in it. You can turn off for cleaning your hard floors and on for your carpeted floors. When it is on, it almost pushes itself. It gets all the ground in dirt out of your carpet. Very easy to push!

I don't know the exact weight but it is a good bit heavier than my Shark, but way less heavy than my old Kirby. It is manageable. 
I don't find it hard to push on my plush carpeting at all.

Hi Peg, this is Kelly with Dyson. The operational weight of the Ball Multi Floor Origin is 17.28 pounds. The weight of machine is going to be mainly in the ball, which is right over the cleaner head. If you have thicker, shag, or plusher carpeting, you might find that due to the powerful suction this machine has, it is hard to push. Yes kind of hard to push. But thats because it’s sucking so much more dirt out of the carpet than any other vacuum we ever had.
