• No there is an electrical cord . . . but this vacuum is extremely powerful and would recommend to anyone. Gets everything up, even in deep rugs.

• The vacuum has a cord and it's longer than the competition. You cannot go wrong with this vacuum. It's very maneuverable and the cord gives you the freedom you need to cover a large area.
