“Would love to skip the window a/c units this year. During the day we would have our living room a/c on. Looking for a fan that will cool a small bedroom at night. Any thoughts on this tower fan - and the levels of coolness it brings? Thanks in advance.”

Well, for one, I placed the fan directly on a table that was the same height as me sitting down. No ossolation, just on the highest level possible,and pointed towards me. It BARELY could cool me down, so trying to cool an ENTIRE room would be a joke.

You would probably get more air flow with one of those square fans but the noise level would be quite a bit higher. Technically fans don't cool, they move air which gives the feeling of coolness. This is a pricey fan in my opinion and you are paying for the high tech look. I am happy with the one we bought and would consider buying another one.

Keep in mind that this unit is designed to cool a room by increasing the air velocity in the room, rather than lowering the temperature of the air in the room. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We did not want to purchase new ac units either. For a small bedroom or a decently sized living room this fan does a great job at cooking. In the same sense it does not make the air as cool as an ac unit would so as long as you have realistic expectations on what it's capable of doing it should work great! Hope this helps.
