• Did you remove the tape? I believe it was blue in color on my fan.

• My hot and cold Dyson fan will not oscillate. When I press the oscillate button it goes from cold to hot and hot to cold butdoes not oscillate.

• After dismissing all the comments that said "remove the tape" because there was " no way" I left the tape on my fan - I realized the Blue trim on the bottom of the fan was actually tape to be removed....now it works.

• Be sure to point directly at the eye in the fan. We had this issue at first but found it is very point specific. Hope this works.

• Make sure the fan is assembled right on its base - must be flush.

• The tape that was stopping it from oscillating was white (not blue) but it was preventing the bottom from rotating. I removed it (as you advised) and it oscillates perfectly now. Thank you.

• The remote doesn't have great range. You have to be in front of it and point it at the base. The arrows is the button that will make it oscillate. If it still doesn't, make sure that you have assembled it correctly and that all sections have locked in place and try again. If it still doesn't, contact Dyson.

• if the button on the remote is not working than you need to get a new one from dyson
