I had it in a open floor plan, 250 SQ foot living room and it seemed to noticed when someone would vape within a few seconds.

The bigger the room, the longer the machine will take to purify it as there is more air in the atmosphere. In a room of 52 sq ft, the machine will purify the room in about 30 minutes.
