QuestionThe cool air that it creates, is that significant? Most cooling units need an exhaust to go out the window. I don't have an ac unit in my apartment and it reaches 100 F here, would this suffice?

- Answer This is not an air conditioner. The is purely an air filter. Will not cool the air more than a fan.

- Answer Hello Cammy, this is Kelly with Dyson. The TP01 and TP02 are both tower purifying fans. The TP01 is the non-link version, while the TP02 has the ability, via WiFi, to connect to the Dyson Link App, which is a feature that would allow you to monitor air quality, view remaining filter life, and set up a run-time program, all within said app. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

QuestionDoes this air purifier produce ozone?

- Answer Hello Bob, this is Kelly with Dyson. Some purifiers will use an ionizer, which releases charged chemicals into the air. These bond with particulates, and assist to remove those particles. - Answer It removes odors ! I've used it in the kitchen, or after dyeing my hair, or any other time when I need fresh air smell in the house . It smells fresh , no weird ozone smell! And I'm very sensitive to smells!

- Answer It's a fan. It's a filter! It's a...a...Fanilter! Yes, it is both in one. It's two! Two! TWO devices in ONE! It works fantastico and I have no regrets in buying or recommending it to anyone. If you want a more powerful fan, look elsewhere but if you NEED a :"FANILTER", look no further. All the best to you!

QuestionDoes the intensity of the fan affect the power of the filter? So if I have the fan on low does that mean the filter will be lower? I’m aware there are different level settings for the filter but is that dependant on the fan power? Thanks.

- Answer The only variables are the speed of the air through the Dyson unit... it all goes through a filter.. and sherther it rotates through an arc as it operates. So there is no such thing as the power of the filter .. just the volume of air you are filtering in any given time period - up the speed of the fan and more air filtered in any given time period and vice versa. The way the unit runs an automatic, is that fan speed is increased in proportion to level of contaminant in the air. The Lower the air quality the higher the speed.. the better the air the lower the speed.

QuestionWhere do you get the replacement filters and how much are they? Dyson says they need to be replaced every 6-12 months, but I can't seem to find anywhere that sells them.

QuestionI read somewhere that this Dyson air purifier the pure cool link tower will help with paint fumes but I can't find that description any where.

- Answer I'm not sure about paint fumes. I actually purchased it for cigarette smoke and honestly it doesn't really work well. I would recommend looking into other options especially because the price point is so high on the dyson.

QuestionDoes this have a pre-filter of some kind before the HEPA filter? Or will my pet's hair quickly clog the HEPA filter and require it to be replaced often? A pre-filter could either be cleanable or be less expensive to replace than the HEPA filters.

- Answer Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson TP02 Pure Cool Link tower purifier fan removes a range of contaminants from the air. It purifies to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns from the home. It also removes pollen, pet dander and odors such as cigarette smoke and cooking smells, with the included HEPA filter. It won't trap hair from your pets. The life on our filters is 4382 hours, so if you were to run your machine 24 hours a day, the filter would last about six months.
