When I received your question from Best Buy, it showed a photo of MY air purifier. It IS a Dyson air purifier (model TP02 (blue)). Is that the unit that you have? We're very happy with our Dyson TP02 (blue). As you say, it does (somehow) cool the purified air that it blows at you. I know this as we don't have air conditioning, and we have been enveloped in smoke from California wildfires for the past 3 weeks. Some of those days were 100F at night, and we slept with the TP02 on the #10 setting, with the windows closed. We didn't feel hot like we normally do on hot nights. I don't know how the TP02 does it, but it does cool the air a bit. Very good product.

I'm not certain which Dyson product you're trying to compare, but I can tell you that the Dyson Pure Cool Link will offer the most airflow out of this line of Dyson purifier machines, as it is our tower fan and features the largest amplifier loop of the available models. Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
