“I am having trouble snapping the two parts together…the top and bottom parts don’t seem to snap in…I don’t want to break it trying to fit it in…Is there a trick to this?”

Try rotating it 180° it pops in pretty easy

It sounds like you are referring to the initial machine assembly, in which the amplifier loop gets attached to the base of the machine. You should be able to just place the loop on top of the base, press down, and it will click in to place.
