I use this fan on highest speed and it is quiet. Yes you can hear it running; however, the sound is quieter than a box fan. It does not bother my sleep at all.

We wouldn't expect your Dyson TP01 Pure Cool Tower to make a lot of noise, outside of the sound you'll hear when running the machine, using any of the 10 airflow speed levels.
