If your normal air quality is bad, the device will help you, but it will make you change the filter often.

Dyson purifiers are scientifically tested to capture particles as small as allergens and viruses, but we want to be clear that at this time, we can not speak specifically against wildfire smoke. However, You'll be happy to know that during testing, cigarette smoke was specifically tested to help determine the filter life and whole room purification. From these results 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns are removed from the air. Our purifier can certainly help in 900sq ft, but please note it may take some time for the machine to filter the room that size. We would recommend keeping the machine on Auto mode so it will run as needed to keep the air quality at your desired level. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
