Hi there, this is Krystal with Dyson. Dyson prides itself on its technological advances and safety of customers. Like most technology companies, Dyson sources the materials for its machines from several suppliers. Dyson recently learned that a supplier utilizes at least one of the chemicals identified under Prop 65. As such, it is Dyson's responsibility to inform customers of the existence of this chemical in some of our machines. While Dyson cannot speak to the effects of the chemicals identified under Prop 65, Dyson has no evidence of a link between the use of a Dyson machine and cancer or any other illness. Please know that the existence of a chemical in a product does not mean the product, when used as directed, is harmful. Best Wishes, Krystal Dyson Customer Service
