A:AnswerHello,
This is Miella from Dyson. Unfortunately we do not have the number for the EMF for the Supersonic available. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
A:AnswerBought mine here stateside. The device is clearly marked 120V, 60Hz. So, you'd need a transformer for use in UK.
You might check UK models to see if they will support both types of power system....and would only need a plug adapter.
The electrical specs are encoded on the bottom of the blower head, just near the base of the handle.
A:AnswerHello Jill,
This is Miella from Dyson. Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer is a full hair dryer and includes attachments for smoothing your hair (smoothing nozzle), a concentrator nozzle and a diffuser nozzle as well. It does not include an attachments specifically for curling.
Hope this helps!

A:AnswerHi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Supersonic is still only recommend for use in the country in which you purchase it due to the differences in voltage. So if you purchase in the US, you can use your machine in the US. If you purchase in Europe, you'd only be able to use the dryer in Europe. We also still do not recommend the use of an adaptor or converter, as the unit won't perform at the normal expected life of a Dyson, and can void your warranty as well. I hope this helps.
Best wishes,
Kelly

A:AnswerHello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Dyson products are designed specifically for the countries in which they are made for and sold in, and machines manufactured for the United States are designed solely for 110-120v electricity. It is because of this fact that we are unable to have the machine converted to meet the specific country electrical code and laws. In order to use the machine in a different country a power converter would be needed.
However, we do not recommend using a converter, as the unit will not perform at the normal expected life of a Dyson product. Please be aware that use of your machine outside of the country which it was purchased may void your warranty. This is outlined under the Terms and Conditions of the warranty under the What is Not Covered section in the operating manual.
Best wishes,
Kelly

A:AnswerAbsolutely Not ! This is designed specifically for 110V and you will have major issues with converters and wattage if you use it in Asia or Europe !
A:AnswerHi Mary, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for your interest in the Dyson Supersonic. The Supersonic does use Ionizer technology which removes static charge from the hair, which helps to prevent flyaways.

A:AnswerHi there, this is Krystal with Dyson. Dyson machines are built for use in the country in which they were purchased in. Meaning they will only work on that countries voltage. Using a power adapter is not recommended.

A:AnswerHello there,
This is Dan with Dyson. In the US, the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer has wattage of 1600. However, it is worth noting that the performance of a hair dryer is not all about the watts that it pulls; drying hair requires air flow and heat, and the power of the V9 motor and Air Multiplier™ technology provides a strong flow to help evaporation and air get into hair. While heat is also important in drying your hair, too much of it can be damaging – hence the need for thermal control.
Best wishes,
Dan
A:AnswerHi Fae, this Is Krystal with Dyson. The temperature at the lowest setting is 140°F and 212° at the highest. Previously, close up styling could expose your hair to excessive temperatures. Now, with intelligent heat control, you can dry without the risk of extreme heat. In addition, the attachments are coated with cool wall technology, making it relatively cool to touch and easy to twist. Therefore, the tools should not get hot to the touch.
Feel free to contact me directly at [email protected] if you have additional questions or concerns. I will be happy to help.

A:AnswerHi Evelyn, this is Krystal with Dyson. Dyson machines are intended to be used in the country they are purchased in and are not multi-voltage. They should not be used with a power converter as this can damage the machine.

A:AnswerHi there, this is Krystal with Dyson. Dyson prides itself on its technological advances and safety of customers. Like most technology companies, Dyson sources the materials for its machines from several suppliers. Dyson recently learned that a supplier utilizes at least one of the chemicals identified under Prop 65. As such, it is Dyson's responsibility to inform customers of the existence of this chemical in some of our machines.
While Dyson cannot speak to the effects of the chemicals identified under Prop 65, Dyson has no evidence of a link between the use of a Dyson machine and cancer or any other illness. Please know that the existence of a chemical in a product does not mean the product, when used as directed, is harmful.

A:AnswerI don’t think it’s normal. I purchased the Dyson hair dryer at launch. It worked fine for a few months until the battery emitted a loud buzzing. For that level of noise when it is not even on is unacceptable. I contacted them and they immediately replaced it. I guess too many people started complaining and it was affecting their bottom line. So now they tell you it’s normal when in fact it is not. The replacement lasted about 15 months before it started buzzing. It is out of warranty and I’m not sure if I want to get another one. It appears to be a reoccurring issue.
