This is not an air conditioner. The is purely an air filter. Will not cool the air more than a fan.

An air conditioner refrigerates the air it supplies, allowing the air in the room to be made cooler than the ambient temperature outside. The Dyson Air Multiplier technology cools a person by moving air over and around them. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It does have a good fan. It's super quiet, anything under level 7, you won't even hear! I don't think it would replace a window unit or large fan, but it does put out a pretty significant breeze for its size. It does oscillate and stay in place, it depends on which setting you prefer. I have had the fan on 10 blowing on me from about 6 feet away on a hot (upper 80's, and humid) days and it does well.
