“I was reading on the internet that there is a model 2, is this the 2015 model or is this the new 2016 model? See on the Dyson web site that it is selling for $599. Looking forward to getting the newest model. Thanks.”

I believe this is a newer model, it has the app for your phone so you can link it and allows for you to control the fan as well as view the air quality in your home/room.
